Ruben Shaft was born and raised in 1920s New York. Though little to his knowledge he was born under a gypsy curse granting him a crappy end of the immortality deal. Due to an unfortunate 'accident' dealt by fate he technically died at the age of 24 in 1932, only to later wake up on a morgue slab with no sensation of physical pain.
While he would never grow old and would from that day on survive any physical wound, Shaft has no form of accelerated healing. In 1933 Shaft signed a 'demon deal' with a individual by the name 'Allan' (AKA the demon Asmodius). Shaft however was never good at making a business deals... and the terms of his contract fan be found under the side link 'Raptum Shafti' to the right of this blog.
